Getting Started Is About as Simple as It Gets
1. Pick a Day and Come as You Are
Just show up ready to have fun. No experience, no gear, and no special prep required. You can purchase a day pass and complete your waiver in advance or onsite.
2. Get Oriented
Once you’re here, our team will give you a quick rundown so you’re comfortable with the equipment, usually in about 30 minutes or less.
3. Start Climbing
From the beginner routes to the 40-foot wall, you and your family set the pace. Stay an hour or stay all afternoon.
See How Busy We Are Before You Head Over
Want to know what you're walking into? Check our live gym status before you head over. Whether you're hoping for a quieter session or don't mind the energy of a full house, now you can plan accordingly.
To Save Time, Fill Out Your Waiver Before You Arrive
Every climber needs a signed waiver before getting on the wall. Adults can sign their own. Parents and legal guardians must sign for minors. Takes two minutes and saves time at the desk.
Methods of Climbing We Offer
Bouldering
Climbing on shorter 10-15′ walls without ropes. Bouldering is more intense climbing as the difficulty is packed into a shorter wall, and comparatively more dangerous than roped climbing, so we do not recommend it for brand new climbers. All you need to boulder is a day pass.
Top Roping
When a “belayer” stands on the ground and takes the slack out of the rope as the climber is climbing. Both are attached to the rope by a harness. We can teach you to belay through our Belay Class that we teach by reservation.
Don’t have a partner to belay you? No problem! A day pass and a short 10–15 minute orientation is all you need in order to use our autobelays. You’ll be a pro in no time!
Autobelays are machines that take up slack in your line while you climb and lower you down slowly when you let go of the wall. Great for a quick climbing session or families and kids that want to get into rope climbing.
Lead Climbing
An advanced form of climbing where the climber (known as the Leader) clips their rope into protection points along the route. Leading is not a requirement in Rise Up Climbing to climb on our 40’ walls, but it is offered for those who know how to lead or would like to learn.
Groups & Parties
This is an opportunity for you to reserve trained staff to help your group on the 32’ autobelay walls for 90 minutes, and then spend half an hour in our party space, continuing the celebration.
What to Bring
You don't need to bring much! Comfortable athletic clothing and a willingness to try something new is a solid start. We have rental shoes, chalk, and harnesses available if you need them. Snacks and drinks are available on-site too.
